  • Monday is (another) national holiday in Brazil, and the weekend is loaded with parties. Rio is hosting its 15th Annual Gay Pride parade this Sunday. If you happen to be in the city, don't miss another edition of the Buati party at Erotika on Friday, DJ Tony Moran spinning at The Week on Saturday night, and The Original Brazilian Pool Party at Clube Internacional de Regatas on Sunday afternoon.
  • If you are spending the holiday weekend in São Paulo, I highly recommend checking out Balada Mixta on Saturday night. If you are more in the mood for a circuit party, The Week will be hosting its much talked about Acqua Play party at a water park on Sunday afternoon with guest DJs Tony Moran and Peter Rauhofer. It looks like it will be a lot of fun.

  • Love the cover of the blond ambition issue of Guapo.
  • Sexy outtakes of Arthur Sales by Dean Isidro.
  • Martha Streck on the cover of Oyster magazine.
  • Brazilian designers are launching less expensive lines in partnership with mass retailers more than ever this season. Former Rosa Chá designer and owner Amir Slama has launched his third capsule collection for C&A, Osklen's Oskar Metsavaht is unveiling his first collaboration with Brazilian retailer Riachuelo today, and rumor has it that Gisele is scheduled to launch her line for C&A again. • Chanel will be opening its second store in São Paulo at Iguatemi Mall next month.
  • Lea T is now represent by Way Model Management in Brazil, but I doubt that any national label will have the balls to book her for an ad campaign.

  • If you are gay, live in Brazil, and also annoyed at how your rights have been left behind in the presidential race, you should read this (in Portuguese).

The Week Will Be Hosting A Party In A Water Park In November

And what better way to promote a gay water park extravaganza than with a video teaser filled with wet models playing around in their swimsuits?

As for the party, rumor has it that it will be a 17-hour long affair with several DJs taking place on Sunday, November 14. Stay tuned for more information.

The Week Celebrated Its 6th Anniversary This Past Weekend

09271014

The unseasonably cold weather and rain this past weekend didn't stop the boys from partying at three different venues to celebrate The Week's sixth year in business in São Paulo. I didn't attend any of the three parties but judging from the pictures posted on the club owner's twitter @andrealmada, it looks like the weekend long bash was a lot of fun and the parties were insanely packed as usual. Watch a video of the Friday night party which kicked off the festivities after the jump.

  • It is finally confirmed: Topshop will be opening two stores in São Paulo in 2011. Topshop will open in the first semester, and Topshop/ Topman will open in the second semester. I wonder if the prices will be the same in Reais or if the merchandise will be ridiculously expensive as everything else is in Brazil.
  • Gisele looked stunning in a backless Calvin Klein number last night at The Brazil Foundation's 8th Annual Gala Benefit. Also at the event at the Met were Pedro Andrade, Lorenzo Martone, Anne Hathaway, Cecilia Dean, Vik Muniz, and Fernanda Motta. The after party was at the Boom Boom Room. Did any of you go and took pictures?
