Givenchy was the Paris show with the most Brazilian girls this season (and probably the show with most Brazilian girls in the entire season): Marcelia Freesz, Aline Weber, Izabel Goulart, Tayane Leão, Adriana Lima, newcomer Isabela Mello, and Lea T. Gotta love Riccardo for that.

In the land of bleach eyebrows: newcomer Marcélia Freesz, Izabel Goulart, Lea T, Tayane Leão, and Laís Ribeiro yesterday at the Givenchy spring 2011 show in Paris. Fyi, Marcélia skipped the shows in Milan to walk exclusively for Givenchy this season.

I hadn't really commented on the big Fashion's Night Out show at Lincoln Center because I was shooting on location all day yesterday. I finally got to read everything about it and watch some clips this morning, and it looked like quite an undertaking. So thrilled to see many Brazilian girls on the runway, and while I did not really miss Isabeli, I really wish Raquel Zimmermann had also been part of it. Already cannot wait to watch the FNO documentary.

Tayane Leão, winner of last year's Ford Supermodel of the World, just got a brand new haircut. I am certain that it is only a matter of time until we start seeing her in major editorials and ad campaigns.

The cover art for Madonna's upcoming greatest hits collection Celebration hit the web. The album and an accompanying DVD are scheduled to be released on September 29.

Whitney Houston debuted her new album I Look To You at a special listening party in New York on Tuesday night. I am totally jealous of all my friends who got to go, and I hear the album is amazing.
André Almada, owner of nightclub The Week, has announced that the club will be moving to a new location in 2013. The new club, to be located at a property recently acquired by Mr. Almada on Marginal do Tietê, will also include a complex with a pool, a convention center, office space for rent, and three to four levels of underground parking. And since we are on the topic of The Week, the club's branch in Rio is celebrating its second year in business with a big bash this Saturday. Please email me pictures if you attend the party.

Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens landed in Rio yesterday in the morning for a little Brazilian getaway. They are vacationing courtesy of gossip magazine Caras.
Designer Matthew Williamson shot the commercial for his H&M line at the beach in Copacabana on Monday night with Daria Werbowy and Astrid Muñoz. The ad campaign was photographed in Mexico.

Fashion Rocks Brazil is scheduled for May 2nd at Forte de Copacabana in Rio. Rumor has it that DSquared2 and Dolce & Gabbana will be showing their latest collections, and that Beyonce has been tapped to perform. Brazilian beachwear designer Lenny Niemeyer is also rumored to be part of the line up.
