Aline Weber And Rafael Lazzini For Ellus

Instead of doing a regular runway presentation for fall/ winter  2011, jeanswear label Ellus put together a 3D video with models Aline Weber and Rafael Lazzini. The video was presented first at SPFW, and as much as I really appreciate the fact that the label is embracing different ways of presenting its collection I wish more had been done with the concept and the editing of the video. Either that or they should have just hired SHOWstudio directly to do the job.

PS- A couple of more takes of Rafael Lazzini wouldn't have hurt either.

Alexandre Herchcovitch Teams Up With Pony

Designer Alexandre Herchcovitch teamed up with Pony to create a series of hi-tops in rabbit fur, snakeskin, and wool for his fall/ winter 2011 men's collection. I may need to get a pair of the furry ones.

Photographer João Arraes was backstage at the Reserva fall/ winter 2011 show yesterday, and sent Made In Brazil some exclusive pictures of Evandro Soldati, Francisco Lachowski, and Max Motta. If the boys happen to look a little weird, it is probably because of the make up of the show, which was supposed to make them look old.

Sorry, But It's All About Lea T.

I honestly couldn't care less about missing Ashton Kutcher in action last night at the Colcci show or not being invited to Christina Aguilera's press conference about her collaboration with mass retailer C&A. The only thing that really upset me about not covering the shows in São Paulo this season was the fact that I didn't get to meet Lea T. this past weekend.

Lea closed the Alexandre Herchcovitch show on Saturday night, and caused almost as much commotion while leaving the building as La Bündchen.

Insane, right? She was also in the studio yesterday with photographer Fabio Bartelt and stylist Paulo Martinez shooting ffw Mag!. I already cannot wait to see the end result.

Watch an interview with Lea at GNT. And btw, Love magazine just released yet another cover with her shot by Mert and Marcus.

Can We Take Brazilian Fashion Seriously After This?

Listed under things that make you cringe: Brazilian label Colcci set up a red carpet before its show last night in São Paulo in order for receive models Alessandra Ambrósio, Gisele Bündchen, and Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore. Notice that for some unknown reason Ashton and Demi were booed by the photographers.

Fyi, Gisele opened the show and Alessandra closed it. Mr. Kutcher simply accompanied the designers at their final bow after the show, while Demi sat in the audience.
