I know this video will be in every blog and website in a matter of minutes, but I had to post it (and not just because I love a glitter unicorn). Born This Way may not top Bad Romance or Telephone, but it also looks pretty amazing. Love that Lady Gaga picked Nick Knight to direct it, and love even more the fact that there is a cameo by Raquel Zimmermann.
Christina Aguilera was in São Paulo this week to launch a new clothing line in partnership with mass retailer C&A, which btw is also developing a line with Stella McCartney to be released in Brazil in March.
João Pimenta, one of my very favorite Brazilian designers, looked at priests and nuns for inspiration for his fall/ winter 2011 show yesterday.
Since I failed to mention it before, the line up for Rock In Rio has been announced, and it includes Rihanna, Katy Perry, Elton John, Snow Patrol, the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and Coldplay. The festival starts on September 23 in Barra da Tijuca in Rio.
The first issue of volume 2 of U Mag is now online.
The Colcci show at SPFW is only on Sunday, but Gisele is already in São Paulo. She is hosting a press conference for her new skincare line Sejaa tomorrow at Hotel Emiliano, where she is staying. Rumor has it that she will grace the cover of the April issue of Vogue Paris.
Stylist Camile Bidault-Waddington is in São Paulo working on the Colcci fall/ winter 2011 show.
On a side note, I would like to thank all of you who contributed with donations to the people who were left homeless as a result of the floods in Rio de Janeiro. The death toll in the area is now at 838 people and there are reports of over 500 people still missing. The campaign I posted here last week managed to collect 1,027 mattresses. Thank you for your help.
