Dolce & Gabbana Bring Out The Brazilian Bombshells Again

So far this hasn't been a great season for new Brazilian girls, but you can always count on Dolce & Gabbana for a show filled with familiar Brazilian faces: Isabeli Fontana, Alessandra Ambrósio, Izabel Goulart, Martha Streck, and Debora Müller. I am wondering if Laís Ribeiro is skipping the shows or is exclusive to a label showing in Paria since she has been m.i.a. for the past week.

The spring couture shows are already under way in Paris. Martha Streck was the only Brazilian girl at Dior today.

São Paulo Fashion Week starts on Friday. I won't be covering the shows again this season, but here is the complete line up. Expect appearances by Christina Aguilera, Alessandra Ambrósio, Gisele, Paris Hilton, and Ashton Kutcher, who will be landing in São Paulo with Demi Moore for the Colcci show this coming Sunday.

Lara Stone was in Rio last week shooting Vogue with Mario Testino and Brazilian actor Diego Cristo.

Candy Pratts Price will be coming to São Paulo on January 31 for a lecture.

Alessandra Ambrósio and her beau in the February issue of Vogue.

Justin Bieber lands the cover of Love.

Cindy Lauper is coming to Brazil next month. She will be performing a series of eight concerts starting February 19 in Recife.

No, I do not think that spread is groundbreaking in any shape or form, and I find the styling so full of clichés and cheap it is almost insulting. However, I am loving Martha Streck so much lately that I had to post those pictures. The fact that she is joined by Alex Schultz, Israel Hamann, and Pedro Bissi in swimsuits doesn't really hurt either.

Can Santa Claus please bring Vogue Brazil a new staff and decent content for next year?

Brazilian designers are launching less expensive lines in partnership with mass retailers more than ever this season. Former Rosa Chá designer and owner Amir Slama has launched his third capsule collection for C&A, Osklen's Oskar Metsavaht is unveiling his first collaboration with Brazilian retailer Riachuelo today, and rumor has it that Gisele is scheduled to launch her line for C&A again. She is confirmed to be the new face of the retailer in Brazil, replacing Isabeli Fontana, Ana Beatriz Barros, and Caroline Ribeiro.
Chanel will be opening its second store in São Paulo at Iguatemi Mall next month.
Lea T is now represent by Way Model Management in Brazil, but I doubt that any national label will have the balls to book her for an ad campaign.
If you are in São Paulo this weekend, don't miss the sixth anniversary of The Week's Babylon party on Saturday night. DJ Chris Cox will be spinning, and the party will have a Harajuku Lovers theme. On Sunday the club will be throwing another XL Pool Party at Clube Atlético Nacional with guest DJs Lydia Sanz and Tommer.
