ffw Mag!, Debora Müller, Prada, Topshop, And The Brazil Foundation Gala

  • The new issue of ffw Mag! featuring all the Brazilian spring 2011 collections is already on newsstands, with newcomer Nathalia Oliveira on the cover. I am going to pick up a copy over the weekend and scan some of my favorite pictures to post next week.
  • Debora Müller was the Brazilian girl with most bookings in London this season, walking eleven shows and scoring three exits at Burberry.
  • In case you missed the live broadcast yesterday, here is a video of the genius Prada spring 2011 show.
  • Flipped through the latest 10 Men featuring Tony Ward this week, and it is brilliantly edited. For pictures of the story photographed by Marcelo Krasilcic for the issue, visit his blog.
  • Watch the new Love, Chloé commercial with Raquel.
  • Rio's Buati party is taking over Lionsclub in São Paulo tonight.
  • The Week São Paulo is celebrating its sixth year in business this weekend with three huge parties.
  • It is finally confirmed: Topshop will be opening two stores in São Paulo in 2011. Topshop will open in the first semester, and Topshop/ Topman will open in the second semester. I wonder if the prices will be the same in Reais or if the merchandise will be ridiculously expensive as everything else is in Brazil.
  • Gisele looked stunning in a backless Calvin Klein number last night at The Brazil Foundation's 8th Annual Gala Benefit. Also at the event at the Met were Pedro Andrade, Lorenzo Martone, Anne Hathaway, Cecilia Dean, Vik Muniz, and Fernanda Motta. The after party was at the Boom Boom Room. Did any of you go and took pictures?

Now that is exactly how you are supposed to shoot a camel story. The pictures are so brilliant I really wish I had bigger scans to post.

A Sneak Peek At The Upcoming Issue Of EY! Shot In Brazil

I got a copy of the amazing giant-sized double issue of Electric Youth! yesterday, and in the new issue there is already a teaser for the next edition, shot by photographer Marcelo Krasilcic in Brazil over the last year. And in case you care to know a little insider's information, the shot above of Marlon was shot exactly a year ago.

If you can get a copy of the new EY! online, I highly recommend you to do so. Truly a collector's item.

  • Muse's new green issue hits newstands on June 16th with three different covers featuring Gisele, Angela Lindvall, and Isabeli Fontana. Gisele, btw, will be twittering live from the Colcci show at São Paulo Fashion Week on Sunday night.
  • Nicola Formichetti lists the fashion credits of Lady Gaga's video for Alejandro.
  • Viviane Orth covers Elle Brazil.
  • Marcelo Krasilcic shot a secret summer project for BUTT last weekend in New York.
  • Check out Elite Milan's World Cup inspired package for the men's shows.
  • The third edition of the Buati party in São Paulo takes place this Friday at Lions. If you are in Rio, don't miss the second edition of Bootie at Fosfobox.
  • SPFW starts today. After several years covering the Brazilian shows here and at V magazine, my request for press and backstage credentials was denied this season, and I have decided that I will not be covering the spring 2011 collections on Made In Brazil. My decision has nothing to do with retaliation. I just felt that I should not devote my time and energy in covering an event that does not want to be featured here in the first place. I will, however, make sure to write about the new models and castings this season. If you would like to follow the spring 2011 shows in São Paulo, I recommend checking out pictures and videos at FFW.com.br, the official site of the event.
