Iguatemi, the largest chain of luxury shopping centers in the country, is celebrating its 45th anniversary this year, and is celebrating the occasion with a new ad campaign photographed by none other than Annie Leibovitz. This is the first time Iguatemi has commissioned an international photographer, and the first time Annie Leibovitz has created a campaign for a Brazilian company.

The campaign, with creative direction by Giovani Bianco, is comprised of Brazilian notables in various fields. The first image released features model Isabeli Fontana, chef Alex Atala, artist Vik Muniz, Maria Luiza Whately, singer Bebel Gilberto, Georgina Brandolini, Paulo Borges, Luciana Curtis, Bianca Brandolini, and Luigi Tadini.

  • Chanel will be opening its second store in São Paulo at Iguatemi Mall next month.
  • Lea T is now represent by Way Model Management in Brazil, but I doubt that any national label will have the balls to book her for an ad campaign.

DJ Chris Cox will be spinning, and the party will have a Harajuku Lovers theme. On Sunday the club will be throwing another XL Pool Party at Clube Atlético Nacional with guest DJs Lydia Sanz and Tommer.
