So happy to be seeing more editorials featuring girls such as Emanuela and Bruna Tenório lately.

Emanuela de Paula Is Now My Favorite Backstage Photographer

Emanuela de Paula shot her fellow Brazilian bombshells backstage at the third edition of the Monange Dream Fashion Tour this past weekend in Porto Alegre, and Made In Brazil has an exclusive look at the images. You gotta love a model for taking really beautiful pictures as opposed to just snapping them on a blackberry or an iPhone and posting them on twitter.

View Emanuela's pictures after the jump. I am already looking forward to seeing more from her.

  • Here is the cover of the latest issue of ffw Mag!, photographed by Cristiano Madureira. The theme of the issue is Erotica, and I hear the editorials are pretty amazing. I promise to scan a few images as soon as I get a copy.
  • Visionaire's Cecilia Dean gave out a lecture yesterday in São Paulo at this year's Pense Moda. She mentioned that Vik Muniz, Ernesto Neto, Bebel Gilberto, and video artist Thiago Rocha Pitta, would be her top picks for a possible Brazilian themed issue of the publication. An interview with her is available in Portuguese at Blog LP.
  • Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci will spend new year's in Rio de Janeiro.
  • Natalie Portman lands the cover of V magazine.
  • Emanuela de Paula is now officially a new Victoria's Secret Angel, along with Chanel Iman.
  • Nike Sportswear Brazil is releasing the second Canarinho Collection, inspired by street soccer.
  • Fernando Sippel hits the pool in Miami.

The New Osklen Ad Campaign Is Putting Me To Sleep

I love Emanuela de Paula and Francisco Gassen, and I loved Osklen's spring show inspired by Carnival in Rio, but I am sort of disappointed with the new ad campaign which is already in Brazilian publications. I get it that it is unexpected and fresh to do a minimalist ad campaign when the inspiration for the collection was Carnival and sequins, but it just didn't work here (well, unless the actual goal was to make  the super sexy Emanuela look as plain as possible). It's Carnival on valium.

PS- if you are in New York for Fashion's Night Out, stop by the Osklen store in Soho tonight for caipirinhas, coconut water, and a performance by the Harlem Samba Ensemble. Model Daiane Conterato will be there.
