So far this hasn't been a great season for new Brazilian girls, but you can always count on Dolce & Gabbana for a show filled with familiar Brazilian faces: Isabeli Fontana, Alessandra Ambrósio, Izabel Goulart, Martha Streck, and Debora Müller. I am wondering if Laís Ribeiro is skipping the shows or is exclusive to a label showing in Paria since she has been m.i.a. for the past week.
Watch the Dolce & Gabbana fall/ winter 2011 women's show at Swide.
Next fall is going to be all about polka dots, a matching hat, and a little lace: Bruna Tenório, Deborah Muller, and Daiane Conterato at the Marc Jacobs show yesterday in New York. View pictures of the complete collection at Style.com, and watch a video of the show after the jump.
My favorite showcards this season in Brazil come from Way Model Management. The agency invited prodigy graphic designer Romeu Silveira, responsible for U Mag and From Brazil With Love, to do the artwork on the cards for the fall shows in Brazil in January and the result is pretty stunning. PS- I am beyond excited Lea T. is featured in the package. I am very curious as to what labels will be booking her, and I hope she gets to walk at Animale with Raquel. Having a chance to Interview the two of them together backstage almost makse me want to wish I would cover the shows in Brazil this season.
So far spring 2011 hasn't been the best season for Brazilians, but girls like Daiane, Debora, and Martha have been a constant presence on the runways, with solid bookings in New York and this past week in Milan.
Daiane Conterato at Prada, Jil Sander, and Roberto Cavalli.
Debora Müller at Emporio Armani, Jil Sander, and Marni.
Martha Streck at Gucci, Jil Sander, and Giorgio Armani.
