Beyoncé and Alicia Keys were busy yesterday in Rio shooting the video for Put It In A Love Song, which from the look of the pictures is either going to be crazy fierce or a festival of Brazilian clichés (or both). The two shot at favela Santa Marta and Morro da Conceição, with the help of dancers and costumes from samba school Grande Rio. Rumor has it that Beyoncé's Carnival costume cost approximately R$ 60K (or US$ 32K).

I know she probably says that in every show, but as I said yesterday it is clear that Beyoncé is surprised with her audience here in Brazil. After making 60,000 people dance on Saturday night in São Paulo, she performed to another sold out arena last night in Rio.

I went insane at Beyoncé's concert in New York last year, so it is no surprise that I went to see it again last night in São Paulo. The show was just as amazing and fun as the one at Madison Square Garden, with an added bonus: the Brazilian audience. 60,000 packed Morumbi Stadium for the concert last night, and they all sang along and danced non-stop throughout the entire concert. I had no clue Beyoncé had so many fans here, and apparently neither did she. You could tell that she was completely surprised with the audience, mentioning several times that it was the biggest show of her career so far.

And in case you weren't there, this was by far the funniest moment of the show (and fully explains the title of the post).

It is all about Rio these days. Newspaper O Dia broke the news today that Alicia Keys will be landing in the city on Monday morning with producer Swizz Beats to shoot the video for Put It In A Love Song with Beyoncé. They will be staying at the Fasano in Ipanema.

Alicia Keys will attend Beyoncé's final concert in Rio on Monday night, shoot the video on Tuesday, and leave the country on Wednesday. Rumor has it that the video will shoot in a favela and in a school in Rio. Takes from Carnival at the Sambadrome may also be added to the video, and samba school Grande Rio is already putting the final touches in the Carnival headdresses ordered exclusively for Alicia Keys and Beyoncé to wear in the video (and yes, apparently they are completely covered in Swarovski crystals).

Beyoncé kicked off her Brazilian tour last night in Florianópolis. I posted some pictures and a video from the concert after the jump. I went to see her last year at Madison Square Garden with my friend Matthew, and loved it, so I am going to see her again tomorrow night in São Paulo.
