Matthias Vriens-McGrath should be given honorary citizenship for the amount of editorials he has shot in Rio de Janeiro. His latest one comes from the spring issue of Numéro Homme, and features models Maikel Castro, Rodrigo Calazans, Sebastião Neto, and Samuel Vieira in a series of sizzling hot images inspired by the pictures of Alair Gomes.

I am very very impressed with these photos. Like a poem, they transport you to another place. They transport you to Rio and to the masculine hunks of Ipanema Beach. You can feel the heat, the sweat, the pervasive, strong sexuality, and the wonderful freedom.

I know it sounds too complimentary, but passion makes fools of all of us!

I have MANY Brazilian friends,in fact my next door neighbor ,is one of the best bass players in the world...just beautiful people outside and inside their hearts..my gym teacher turned me on to Brazil, as did my neighbor and once you've seen that side, there's no looking BACK!..BUT I have never been to Brazil...been to all corners of the Earth except S.America, so next stop???
