Sorry, But The Oscars Were All About Cate Blanchett

02281110

Cate Blanchett. Givenchy haute couture. Major. Red carpet. Moment. It is amost as if every other celebrity disappeared as soon as she stepped on the red carpet.

I watched most of the Oscars last night, and as much as I love James Franco and Anne Hathaway, the show was a complete bore. Not even Anne Hathaway's costume changes were exciting, and it all went downhill after the Inception opening clip. If anything saved the night, it was probably Colin Firth's acceptance speech for his Best Actor win.

This year this event was conspicuously absent in terms of folks of colour who were nominated; thus I chose NOT to watch it-- the first time ever during my adult years!!!!!!

she's fab in this

o dear wash your eyes out with bleach that dress is unfortunate pink pearl upchuck, when she walked out on stage it looked like a pastel tissue paper cut out with dollar store pearls hot glued on.../gag

Amen to the last comment. This is hideous. And that is what is a complete bore, although the show was not the most exciting cookie of the bunch either. But tis dress is plain bad taste.

Cate looks SPLENDID as always.
only few can carry off that dress so well.

looks like shes wearing a chair!!!!!! bad bad

I agree; she was it and no one else came close. That dress is gorgeous and unusual and it really suited her. Really blew me away.

Yeah...Cate was the bomb! And that dress looked like it was hit by the bomb!!! But Ral was right, better if it was upholstered on a French chair.
