Marlon Teixeira By Mario Sorrenti For Emporio Armani

Marlon Teixeira moves from Armani Exchange to Emporio Armani for fall 2010. Even though I much prefer to see him shirtless on the beach, I have to say I really like how grown up and polished he looks in the ads above.

These were in fact taken in Morningside Heights Manhattan on the sidewalk outside of Columbia University's Miller Theater and Lewisohn Hall the weekend of April 3-4 (notice the gated sublevel window just in the top-right corner of the first image). It was a beautiful sunny afternoon. I passed Marlon just as he stepped out of an Ontime Elite trailer on Broadway at 118th partially set for the above-right combination. I smiled, nodded, a pair of Tom Ford aviators hid my eyes. He smiled politely back. Of course I kept my pace and didn't look back, but grinned. "Only in New York," I thought. It wasn't until about 110th street, stepping into an espresso queue that I noticed how fast my heart was beating!
