As some of you may have read on twitter, I went to see Lady Gaga's Monster Ball Tour at Madison Square Garden on Friday night. I had not seen a single picture or video of the show before I went to see it, and I absolutely loved every minute of it. Unlike a Madonna concert which is flawless but always feels totally scripted, Lady Gaga's concert feels totally loose, and every conversation she has with the audience seems honest and genuine. She stops a lot to talk to the audience by the way, and that was one of my favorite things about the concert. She also doesn't take herself serious, and seems to be having just as much fun as all of us dancing in the pit. It was camp, the dancers were great, the sets were amazing, and even the videos in between the songs were insane.
I didn't take a camera with me because I wanted to just enjoy the concert and not worry about taking pictures or shooting videos, but I have selected a couple of videos from the evening on YouTube and posted them after the jump.
If the Monster Ball heads to São Paulo later this year (and I hope it does), I am definitely going to the concert again.
