The New Osklen Ad Campaign Is Putting Me To Sleep

I love Emanuela de Paula and Francisco Gassen, and I loved Osklen's spring show inspired by Carnival in Rio, but I am sort of disappointed with the new ad campaign which is already in Brazilian publications. I get it that it is unexpected and fresh to do a minimalist ad campaign when the inspiration for the collection was Carnival and sequins, but it just didn't work here (well, unless the actual goal was to make  the super sexy Emanuela look as plain as possible). It's Carnival on valium.

PS- if you are in New York for Fashion's Night Out, stop by the Osklen store in Soho tonight for caipirinhas, coconut water, and a performance by the Harlem Samba Ensemble. Model Daiane Conterato will be there.

Just like C&A, it had so much potential and yet... Why couldn't it have been the blue sky as a background, or the Sambadrome in Rio empty with only the models in the middle. it's white and it would make a nice counterpoint to the prints and color. You just can't go so minimalist when the collection is about carnival. Plus, her face looks bleached. whats up with the make-up?

carnaval on valium ahahahahahaha

the worst brazilian campaign ever!!!
i hate the light, hate the poses, the expressions, who shot that?
pitty that osklen is not like before,
by the way their campaigns have never been that nice.
