Madonna's concert in Rio is still 11 days away, but the media frenzy and rumors have already begun. According to Folha Online, A-Rod will be making his way to Brazil with Madonna. The singer's assistant filed for visas for both of them at the Brazilian Consulate in New York recently. Madonna is expected to land in Rio on the 12th, and to meet with the president at some point during her stay in the country.
After all the drama which took place when tickets went on sale back in September, tickets are actually still available for all the concerts in Brazil, except for the VIP areas close to the stage. Madonna plays in Rio on the 14th and 15th of this month, and in São Paulo on the 18th, 20th, and 21st. You can purchase tickets online at Ticketmaster.
The stage for the concerts in Rio is coming from Mexico, and building starts this Sunday at Maracanã Stadium.
UPDATE 1: According to Clarín.com, tonight's concert in Argentina has been canceled due to audio equipment arriving late because of a delayed flight. Tonight's show has been moved to Friday, and Saturday's show has been rescheduled for Monday. Thursday and Sunday's shows remain unaltered.
UPDATE 2: here is a first look at Madonna's Louis Vuitton ads shot by Steven Meisel.
