When I was in New York back in August, my friend Shawn recommended that I stop by the new Tretorn store on Spring street in SoHo. Since all the spring styles were on sale at the time, I ended up leaving with not just one, but three pairs of sneakers (there is no way you can get a pair of great sneakers in Brazil for $45, so it is a good idea to stock up sometimes). Their slip-on canvas sneakers with an elastic strap are the certainly coolest option for summer in Brazil.
I stopped by the store again this week, and there are now leather versions of the slip-on sneakers for fall, amazing hi-tops in leather and quilted nylon, and the most perfect rubber boots. If I weren't going back to Brazil in a week, I would have definitely picked up a pair.
