André Sizzles In Italy

It is a shame we did not get to see André Ziehe in São Paulo this season, but I am happy that he got to walk every major show in Milan instead.

Special thanks to Enrico Coveri and Dean and Dan Caten for sending him out shirtless on the runway.

SPFW: The Big Comeback Of The Season

Ana Claudia Michels belonged to the same crop of models which included the likes of Raquel Zimmermann, Caroline Ribeiro, Jeisa Chiminazzo, and Isabeli Fontana. Unlike all of them though, Ana Claudia had a quick rise to the top with an Italian Vogue cover (in which she looked just like Twiggy), and then disappeared from the scene.

This season in Brazil Ana Claudia came back with a killer body, and became THE must-have girl, booking all the shows that matter.

I hope to see her on the shows in New York and Europe come September.

SPFW: The Dandies Of Rio Hit São Paulo

Menswear label Reserva debuted in São Paulo on Monday with a collection inspired by Brazilian dandies. Even though I am not entirely sure the inspiration can be traced on the outfits, the boys at Reserva sent out a great selection of tops in pastel and neon stripes, floral print shirts, embroidered knits, and cargo shorts in a wide range of lengths to please every customer.

While many of the shows this week struggled to look more conceptual than they actually were, Reserva went straight to the point and presented clothes which guys will actually want to wear come spring. I give the label credit for that (and for having João Vellutini close the show).

Enlarged pictures and a video of the show after the jump.

Backstage In Milan

The spring shows may be over in São Paulo, but the men's collections are still rolling in Milan. My friend JD Ferguson sent me some exclusive backstage shots including Brazilians Diogo Tofolo, Evandro, Francisco Gassen, Lucas Pianowski, and Andre Ziehe.

The pictures were taken at Versace, Missoni, and Dolce & Gabbana. For more backstage picture galleries of the shows in Milan, head over to V Magazine.

J-Hud In The Spotlight

Jennnifer Hudson's new single Spotlight took some time to grow on me, but now I am hooked on it. I cannot wait for her album to be released.

She looks amazing in the video (and she can totally work the runway).

The Coolest Gucci Sneakers

Call me crazy, but I am in love with the fringed patent leather hi-tops Frida Giannini showed at Gucci this week in Milan. I also really like the flamingo print totes.

In my humble opinion, this was one of the best (if not THE best) Gucci men's collections since Tom Ford left.
