Breaking into the Reserva backstage is becoming a Fashion Rio tradition for me. This season there was a bonus treat aside from all the male models: organic catering from Butik in Rio. It was by far the best backstage catering last week, and everyone should have had the opportunity to check it out: whole wheat sandwiches with ricotta and passion fruit jam, açaí, coconut water, iced tea, and guava icecream. Need I say more? The food was so delicious I was foced to sit down and eat lunch with all the models (my first good healthy while covering the shows actually). Considering there is no healthy place to eat at the tents, I highly suggest that Butik sets up a store inside Marina da Glória next season, and that designers start investing in organic and more inventive catering.
