In a very gay week, magazine Istoé Dinheiro reports on the fast growing gay market in the country. Considering the number of companies I have gotten in contact in the past year thanks to this blog, I am very aware of how much prejudice there still is from businesses in terms of investing in products or services catering to a gay clientele, so I am happy that a magazine finally presented the gay market in a positive way. After all, 10% of the country's population is considered to be homosexual, which means that there are about 18 million consumers out there which companies can better service. Also, according to official data, homosexual customers in Brazil spend in average 30% more than heterosexuals, so there you have it. Click here for the complete article (in Portuguese only).
