The 2005 World Gymnastics Championships are taking place in Melbourne until this Sunday. Brazilian gymnast Daiane dos Santos classified for the finals on Floor with the highest score this morning. FYI, she is defending her world title on Floor, and 3 of her 4 biggest rivals did not classify for the finals. Click HERE for more photos (including the Men's Exercises).

Well, I live in Melbourne, and I've been taking glances at this on telly, including last night's men's rings - the dutch guy (Van Gelder??? He looks like he's gonna topple over, he's so muscular from the waist up) was doing well - and I had no idea it was goin' on in my town. That kinda sucks, on my part :(
