Misspenitentiary_140 contestants from 10 prisons around São Paulo competed for the title of Miss Penitentiary, in hopes that victory could help launch a modeling career (or at least shorten their sentence term). Judges for the pageant include celebrities, soccer players and journalists, and there are prizes in three other categories including writing, public speaking and congeniality. I think there should be one for the boys too. Via And Now, José?

The 2005 World Gymnastics Championships are taking place in Melbourne until this Sunday. Brazilian gymnast Daiane dos Santos classified for the finals on Floor with the highest score this morning.
