Model Raphael Laus looks so hot in the Jeansmania editorial in the third issue of DOM that I almost wish he had graced the cover instead of actor Rodrigo Hilbert.
On a side note, I like that there was a bigger emphasis on sexier pictures (all tastefully shot) in the latest issue of the magazine. Keep them coming.
His curly hair, surfer physique, and recent television debut on the cast of the teen soap Malhação, have the Brazilian media calling him the new Cauã Reymond. Vinícius Ribeiro, representing Espírito Santo, was crowned the most handsome men in Brazil at this year's Mister Brazil pageant, which took place over the weekend in Poços de Caldas.
The runner-up was Mr. Minas Gerais Maciel Moreno Mendes.

Tomorrow in Poços de Caldas Mister Brazil Lucas Gil will be handing over his crown to one of the 23 candidates to the title of Mister Brazil 2008. My favorites this year are Mr. Santa Catarina and Mr. Rondonia.

The event attracted a lot more media attention than last year's, and Made In Brazil has a few exclusive pictures.

Fernando left Big Brother Brazil this past Tuesday. Like other contestants who were eliminated, he also posed for Paparazzo acting sexy. His spread is my favorite so far this season.
Now let's just hope he is reading this and decides to send me some pictures of him in a swimsuit.
As much as I would not have necessarily picked Otávio Rauter as The Boy material, I have to say that the spread with him for the site is pretty on point. I love the use of lighting.

It is still summer down in Brazil, but Terra is already thinking fall in the latest spread for its The Boy series. The model featured this month in a plaid extravaganza is 27-year-old Otávio Rauter.

No, that is not a white swimsuit contest. It is the crowning of the king of the 44th Municipal Carnival Ball in Recife, elected through an online poll earlier this month.

So I finally came across something I know many of you have been waiting for: O Globo Online is hosting an online poll to elect a male muse for Carnival. The four finalists were selected from different samba schools in Rio, and they are Cássio, Márcio, Julinho, and Júnior, who is only 17.

While the spread with model Thiago Alves for The Boy would not have been my choice to start the new year, I have to admit that the exclusive members-only pictures are pretty sexy. More of them after the jump.

I find it one of the worst spreads ever shot for the site, not because of the absence of a six-pack, but because the pictures lack some of the free-spirited sex appeal which is so typical of The Boy.

With 21% of your votes, model Evandro Soldati was elected the Hottest Brazilian of the Year at Made In Brazil.
Model Andre Ziehe, who was featured with Evandro at FHM Collections earlier this year, took the second spot with 20% of all votes.
And Ramirez Allender came in third, with 13% of all votes. Unfortunately I do not have a picture of him with a Made In Brazil sign, or else I would have posted it. I need one asap.

I am loving that Globo networks invited (or coerced) some of its actors to blog about their lives, and that one of the chosen ones just so happens to be Alexandre Slaviero. To be honest, I have no interest in what he has to say or recommend, but I do love the fact that he posts pictures of himself every now and then.
The picture above can only be topped by a phrase that accompanies the post about fishing: "Você, a vara e o tempo." You have to speak Portuguese to truly appreciate it as a literary gem.
On more Alexandre Slaviero news, the actor is going to be involved in a controversial love triangle in the soap Duas Caras. His character Heraldo is going to fall in love with a woman who happens to love with the gay character played by Thiago Mendonça, who will actually be into Heraldo. Tricky and somewhat cliche, but I am curious to see how it will play out. Thanks Alvaro for the heads up.
The December spread shot for Terra's The Boy with Roberto França proves that photographer Didio is intent on sexing things up, and offering more fully exposed back views than what we are used to on the site. Roberto may not be one of my favorite models to pose for The Boy this year, but his spread certainly is. Now I only wish Didio had also shot Ramirez Allender and Fernando Sippel.

The gay character played by Thiago Mendonca is not the only reason why I am trying to tune in to the soap Duas Caras lately. Actor Rodrigo Hilbert does a fine job in elevating the ratings as well, whether he is in white boxer briefs or just a towel.

Leandro Okabe was one of my favorite models featured on The Boy this year. Connex 24.7 interviewed him this week to get his take on sexy Brazilian models and being a gymaholic. "The market for the Brazilian models is good, because Brazil is a very mixed country, here you can find blond, black, asian... everything! And also Brazilian people are very sexy! Two models I like to stand out are Evandro Soldati and Bruna Tenorio."
