Glow Boys
Another edition of the GLOW party took over Brasília this past Saturday, and I am loving the selection of go-go boys featured (and their ripped denim attire).

Considering a lot of my friends were in São Paulo for the long weekend (it was Labor Day on Thursday), we all went to The Week on Saturday night to dance. Even though there were no big international attractions, music was great.
I made two videos with my favorite go-go boys of the night to share with you guys here.
Click here to download both videos in higher resolution.
Saturday was a busy night for me in São Paulo. I wanted to check out the recently opened Megga Fun, but I also needed to attend the launch party for the third issue of DOM magazine, which was nearby at The Week. I made a quick pit stop to say hi to my friends at The Week on the early side (and early side in Brazil means 1 am), and headed over to Megga Fun at about 2 am.
Since Megga Fun belongs to the same owners of Bubu Lounge, the crowd is pretty much what you would expect at Bubu on Fridays: fun, unpretentious, and ready for some action (meaning horny). There are the usual tattooed muscle boys, but the vast majority of the dancefloor is occupied by a younger crowd of non-shirtless guys.
The club itself is a spacious warehouse with exposed brick walls, incredibly high ceilings, and three separate areas: the main dancefloor, the lounge at the entrance with a different DJ, and a small outdoors patio with a cafe (in case you need breakfast before heading home after a night out). The main dancefloor features a bar parked right on the middle with plenty of bartenders to make sure that you can easily get a drink. The VIP lounges with white couches surround the dancefloor, and there are waiters around so that you don't have to leave to get to the bar when you need a drink. Service was top notch this past Saturday, but I would agree with what some of my friends said: bartenders could have been a little hotter, shirtless, and more engaging. After all, Megga Fun is sort of the new equivalent of New York's Splash to the boys in São Paulo.
I had my new Flip cam with me, and made a couple of videos of the go-go boys in action to share with you guys.
As much as I think The Week is undoubtedly the best club option in the city on Saturday nights, I am happy that clubs like Megga Fun are opening up so that the boys can actually make a choice as to where they want to go. I had a good time there, and would definitely suggest you check it out as well.
Nothing like having efficient readers in São Paulo to send you pictures of go-go boys at The Week on Christmas night. I was expecting that they would be wearing Santa hats and red speedos, but I will take what I can get.

I wouldn't want any of you to miss the all go-go action at last Sunday's White Party II at The Week in São Paulo, so I captured it on video.
There is more after the jump, including a samba lesson.

Not even the clouds over São Paulo and the constant threat of a thunderstorm were capable of slowing down the gayest event of the month, designer Rogério Figueiredo's birthday bash at The Week. I did not attend the event last year, but my expectation level was set on high thanks to all the press releases I received on my mailbox for the past two months.

I am not one to bash a party when it is open bar and there are hot go-go boys, but I do confess I was expecting more of the event after all the online buzz. For starters, the invite could have used a little extra attention. If you are going to write it in English for no other reason than the fact you think it sounds cool, you should do a little homework so that you don't spell Birthday Spetacular wrong (it should have read Spectacular). As for the picture of the designer surrounded by flamingos and tigers, I thought it was really camp and perfect for the party. Rogério gets points for having the balls to do it.
The organization of the event was obviously the strongest point, but that is probably because it was supervised by the team at The Week. The idea of serving caipirinhas at the bars was cute and summery, but not effective considering the amount of time it takes to prepare them. I know I can't complain about drinks when they are free, but something else other than vodka, beer, or water would have been nice. I heard about a food court, and I know there was one, but I did not manage to find it (and all I saw related to food were boys sucking on popsicles).

Unfortunately, the weather did not help much with the all white theme. If it had been sunny and the skies had been blue, I think the party would have worked better. Somehow it felt like a New Year's Eve celebration in the middle of fall or something. On a positive note (or not depending on what turns you on), at least it did not rain, and it was fun to see what everyone had on.
As for the music, I would have liked it a little less hard and somber considering it was a day party. A lot of the people I saw who were high as a kite seemed to be enjoying it though, so please ignore my opinion. The twenty-minute samba break which totally raised the tackiness level to a 10 was actually one of the highlights for me when it came to dancing.

There is more after the jump, and exclusive pictures at a new photo album.

I am fascinated by go-go boys, so there is absolutely no way I would go to nightclub The Week on a Saturday night and not make a couple of videos to share with you.
I am actually considering being a guest go-go dancer for an evening at some point (when I quit eating carbs). More pictures after the jump.
No one better than a go-go boy from The Week to teach you a few basic steps:
Yes, it was almost torture to just stand there shooting the videos.

I love the kickboxing shorts the go-go boys were wearing at The Week this past weekend. Since I failed to capture some of them on camera on Saturday, I made up for it at the pool party on Sunday evening. More pictures and videos of the boys dancing after the jump.

Owner Andre Almada and the entire staff at São Paulo's nightclub The Week are the best the country has to offer in terms of organization and professionalism, and it is no wonder the club has become a gay mecca for Brazilian boys, and turned three this month.
To celebrate the club's third anniversary, three parties were put together this past weekend. The highlight of the extravaganza was a party on Saturday night with Israeli DJ Offer Nissim, who was also a part of the celebration last year, and has enough charisma and energy to keep a sea of thousands of shirtless boys dancing until early morning.
As if Mr. Nissim was not enough, how about a selection of the country's hottest go-go boys?
There was not a single square foot on the dancefloor which wasn't occupied, even though the weather in São Paulo was surprisingly cool for this time of the year. Luckily the VIP area had plenty of room. Check out more pictures of the party after the jump.

Brazilian G magazine, the biggest national gay porn publication, celebrated its 10th anniversary at The Week in São Paulo. Visit G Online for pictures of the party.

From what I hear, The Week is still reigning supreme on Saturday nights in São Paulo. The club was packed this weekend even though DJ Scotty Thomson was playing at recently opened club Flexx. Maybe next time Scotty should play in his underwear like the go-go boys.
Miss Pig Label Club opened its doors in Belo Horizonte on Thursday night. With an emphasis on electronica, the club will open from Thursdays to Mondays from now on.
Gay publications are popping up in the country like never before. Mix Brasil has not yet unveiled its Junior, but Arnaldo Ponzeto is launching his Pocket magazine today at restaurant Apollinari in São Paulo. The pocket-size magazine (hence the name) will be distributed free in the same manner of Next or HX, and feature articles from the same nature of the New York publications. Pocket magazine will run monthly, and 15,000 copies of the first issue have already been printed.
Behold: Brazil will soon have its very own Teen Vogue.

The country's gay muse of the moment, actress Camila Pitanga, strikes a pose for Brazilian Vogue.
Folha Online reports that a famous Brazilian TV actor has been caught by the paparazzi kissing another man, and that a gossip magazine has the rights to the pictures but refused to publish them.
São Paulo soccer player Richarlyson did not come out on national TV last night as expected. Instead, the player said that he is not gay, but that if he were he would have come out already. He also talked about the gay rumors, and his defense on court against another team's executive which outed him on TV back in June. After the judge dismissed his case stating that gays should not play soccer, Richarlyson got more closely involved in the case to fight prejudice. The judge could not be reached for comments last night on TV, but now risks losing his title for his homophobic remarks on the case.
Nicole Scherzinger from the Pussycat Dolls is ringing the alarm: a short clip from her "Whatever U Like" video looks a bit too much like Beyoncé's in my opinion.
In order to take a break from the fashion parties (and fashion people), I went to The Week with my friends on Saturday night. I had a feeling it would not be too crowded since Gay Pride was only a week ago, but it was pretty busy. Here are two little videos I shot:
As you can see, Say It Right is still a big hit here.
In spite of the clouds, the boys packed Rosane Amaral's second pool party in São Paulo this past Sunday.

There are more (and enlarged) pictures after the jump. Make sure to check them out.
Go-go boy Paulo Manchinha did not win this year's edition of the Go-go Mix contest at club Metrópole in Recife. However, he was the favorite according to a poll by site Mix Brasil, which unveiled today a picture portfolio at the beach with the 21-year-old.

There are more pictures of Paulo Manchinha after the jump.
This past Saturday club Metrópole in Recife packed in more than 1,500 guys for their yearly Gogo Mix contest to elect a new set of dancers for the club.

The two candidates from Pernambuco, Santos and Allan, won first and second place. Check out Mix Brasil and Farofa Digital for more pictures of the event.
Thanks to Mix Brasil, you too can help select a new go-go boy for nightclub Metrópole in Recife. Six finalists from the Northeast of the country are up for the position, and you can give one of them a head start at the finals this Saturday by voting here.

And since we are talking about Recife, a reader just sent me a picture of one of the billboards promoting safe sex which were on display in the city last month. I love that the city took the chance on featuring two guys.

Just when I thought you could only find hot go-go boys in São Paulo and Rio, I was treated to a nice surprise in Porto Alegre this past Saturday. Check it out for yourself in the videos below:
As if that was not enough, there was also a sexy Egyptian themed number:
Warning: semi-NSFW content and explicit comments by some of my drunk friends throughout the performance.
