Big Brother Brazil 8 winner Rafinha has finally found some time in his busy schedule to pose shirtless for Globo's Paparazzo. Even though I find him extremely cute and campaigned for him to win the show, I am disappointed with the outcome of his spread. Below are my favorite pictures.

I told you from the very beginning that Rafinha was going to take home the R$1 million prize this season. Although it was a close race (he won with 50.15% of all votes), I guess I was right.
And to think that Rafinha was not even selected for the original cast this season, and was only called in after two other guys gave up their spot.
About 76 million votes were registered at the finale last night, setting a new record for Big Brother Brazil. Watch Rafinha being announced the winner below.

In a rather mild and boring season of Big Brother Brazil, it was clear from the beginning that Rafinha and Gyselle would be the two finalists up for the R$1 million prize.

Am loving this: a 27-year-old from Pontal, in the countryside of São Paulo, was fined R$ 14,880 (or approximately USD$ 8,500) for calling an openly gay 48-year-old man a "fag" and throwing a beer can at him at a gas station. It is the first time this fine is put into practice by the State since the creation of law nº 10.948 back in 2001. FYI, the law ensures penalization for discriminatory behavior towards homosexuals, and up until this week all previous claims had been filed for lack of evidence. In this case, the police was actually on the scene.

Looking at pictures of him on the first day of the show and last night after getting the boot, it seems that he lost some body fat while he was in the house, which should make him happy.

BBB8: Fernando talks about dating (in a speedo)
You may have read here already that BBB contestant Marcelo came out to a few contestants last Friday and over the weekend. Since then, his coming out post on his blog has received more than 1,400 comments, some congratulating him on being upfront about his sexuality, and others criticizing him for exploring it to win the gay vote and empathy from the viewers.
Regardless of the actual reason for his coming out (it is obvious that his being gay will keep him in the house longer), I am going to beg him to stop wearing these sandals because they are seriously harmful to the image of gay men. Not even a gay bear would sport such devastatingly ugly footwear. Can someone from the production team hand him some Havaianas?
Considering a gay man has already won the show, my feeling is that Marcelo is not going to take home the R$ 1 million prize. Watch his coming out on national television here.
And fyi, some blogs are speculating that there are may be two other gay men on the show.

Even though actors Lázaro Ramos and his wife actress Taís Araújo were the main attraction last night at Marina da Gloria and got paid R$ 60K to do the TNG show, it is still rare to see black models at the shows. To bring attention to the issue, fifteen black models organized a silent protest.

Who even knew that Orlando Bloom was in the country? The actor was photographed by a paparazzo in Itacaré, Bahia, but the photos never made it to the internet because his five bodyguards removed the memory card from the camera, and compensated the paparazzo for it with $500.
Shakira and Justin Timberlake will be performing in the country in April and May, respectively.
The eighth season of Big Brother Brazil is off to a great start: to win the rights to use the gym at the house, the fourteen contestants had to get in a pool of baby food and transport its content to another pool using nothing but their half-naked bodies.

A new season of Big Brother debuts tonight on Brazilian television, and there is a new cast member as one of the contestants quit the show at the very last minute. Luckily, the new guy is way sexier than the one that quit. His name is Rafael Ribeiro (or Rafinha), he sings, and he is available on YouTube.
Love the nose, lips, and tats. I will be watching him.
The eighth season of Big Brother Brasil starts on Tuesday, and the fourteen finalists have just been announced. Since the network has not yet released full body pictures of the contestants, my favorites so far are Alexandre, Fernando, and Rafael.
Considering I did a little online promotion for Fernando Mesquita, he better not wear a shirt during the entire season, and send me a picture with a Made In Brazil sign as soon as he gets out of the house.

I had suggested that you vote for Luciano Lupo last month, but now that he won the title of first Mr. Gay Brazil, I am campaigning to make sure he gets a spot on the Big Brother Brazil house come January. There may be other hot gay candidates up for the role, but I know this guy wants it real bad (in a Showgirls sorta way).
In the video below, he takes you on a tour of his home a la MTV Cribs. I did not need to see his several cats, but I give Luciano credit for making sure he was shirtless throughout the taping.

The online applications to the eight season of Big Brother Brazil have closed this past Monday, but that does not mean that I will stop checking out the site, and trying to interfere with the casting of the show. All I want is to make sure that the boys will be hot and fun to watch, which should really be seen as some sort of public service to the population of this country. Here are my three picks for this week:
1. Fernando Molina. Why? He is only 19, but has both of his nipples pierced, a cheesy tattoo on his left arm, and he can spit fire.
And the actual reason he gets my top vote today: his video application.
2. Rogerio Penna. Why? The green eyes, the perfect amount of chest hair, and his professional swimmer status.
3. Igor dos Reis. Why? The excessive amount of pictures in a swimsuit, the excessive amount of chest hair, and the excessive chest.

My favorite discovery this week is Adam, who uploaded a video of himself doing pull-ups, which alone should be a reason for him to be on TV or start developing work-out videos on YouTube.

I am addicted to the Big Brother Brasil website, and all the Brazilians who submit their pictures and videos to be scrutinized by people like me. Until the show is finally cast, I am going to keep a close eye on new entries each week.
My vote this week goes to the new Mr. Gay Cuiabá Luciano Lupo, not simply because he is gay, but because he posted several pictures of himself in a swimsuit, a must for a good Big Brother contestant.
I am also into Bruno Lopes this week. Bruno could have a lot of potential if he would post more shirtless pictures, but for the time being his cute looks and flat stomach will do.

The Big Brother Brasil website, casting contestants for the eight season of the show, is almost as much of a guilty pleasure as the actual show. As a matter of fact, I am so addicted to it that I may soon start a campaign for some of my favorite Big Brother Brazil hopefuls.
Today my vote goes out to 20-year-old David Rangel Canuto simply because of this crazy video he was not ashamed of putting together:
I am also digging 22-year-old Carlos José Peixoto for the following reasons:
1) He can fight karate.
2) He can pose for a picture like every other Brazilian hot boy: shirtless and making nonsense hand gestures.
3) The most important trait in a reality show: he drinks beer with male friends in a swimsuit, which is just what we need on TV every night.
