A Semana: Models, Seal, Leona, Beyoncé, And A Big Gay Wedding

Brazilian model Raphael Lacchine is on his way to Milan to shoot the new Diesel underwear campaign.

Raquel Zimmermann teamed up with Kaiser Karl for yet another Fendi ad campaign, and Models.com managed to capture the shoot on video.

Model Aline Weber, who you may remember as look #1 on Balenciaga, just shot a 26-page spread for Numéro, and is in LA shooting the new Moschino campaign with David Bailey.

Seal performed in São Paulo last night after being away from Brazilian stages for 16 years. He plays in the city again tonight.

Both Justin Timberlake and Shakira have canceled their upcoming performances in Brazil.

Leona Lewis' debut single Bleeding Love just broke into the #1 spot at Billboard's Hot 100, making her the first British female solo artist in 21 years to achieve this milestone. I told you she was gonna be huge.

Beautiful Nigthmare: a new track by Beyoncé makes its way to YouTube.

Ricky Martin (in muscle bear version) gives naked thrill in hotel sauna.

Ohlala Mag goes backstage at a fashion show in Brooklyn.

São Paulo will host a big gay wedding on April 10. 30-year-old Felipe Campos and 24-year-old Rafael Cordeiro will sign a partnership agreement in a ceremony for over 1,000 guests, done candomblé style. The couple hopes to raise awareness of gay marriage with the big bash, and possibly inspire other couples to do the same.

Quick thank you note to my friends Billy and Matthew for The Little Black Book Of Style I got on Monday. I love it and can't believe you guys did that. Now if you could only get Nina Garcia to pose with a Made In Brazil sign.

About The 50th Grammys

How beautiful did Alicia Keys look? She is so talented it is unbelievable. Her opening number was pretty amazing, but it was her performance of No One with John Mayer that completely stole the evening.

Overall the performances this year were a lot better than the past few Grammys. Amy Winehouse sang You Know I'm No Good and Rehab live from London, Kanye West teamed up with Daft Punk and went high-tech on us with Stronger, Rihanna reworked her Umbrella with a little help from The Time, and Ms. Knowles tried her very best to hold court next to Tina Turner in Proud Mary. I like Beyoncé's shorter and lighter hair, and I think she did a fine job considering she looked more nervous than Winehouse.

Check out some of the performances below:
Alicia Keys - Tribute To Frank Sinatra
Carrie Underwood - Before He Cheats
Rihanna & The Time - Umbrella/ Don't Stop The Music
Kanye West & Daft Punk - Stronger
Beyoncé & Tina Turner - Intro/ What's Love Got To Do With It
Beyoncé & Tina Turner - Proud Mary
Feist - 1234
Amy Winehouse - You Know I'm No Good/ Rehab

And no, am not mentioning Fergie with John Legend because that is a performance I would like to forget.

If the performances were on point, the fashions last night definitely missed the beat. I liked Rihanna in Zac Posen, Alicia Keys in Giorgio Armani Privé, and Beyoncé in Elie Saab, but that was it. Fergie's yellow Calvin Klein number was a beautiful dress but the fit was wrong on her, and her hair and make up were enough to make a big girl cry.

A Semana: Calvin Klein In Rio, Bahia On The NYT, And The American Music Awards

Designer Calvin Klein landed in Rio this past Saturday for another sunny season in the city. He gets back to his workouts in Ipanema today.

Mr. Marc Jacobs was looking good at the 2007 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Gala dinner, escorted by bf Jason Preston.

Brazilian actor Lázaro Ramos is in New York for the International Emmy Awards, which take place tonight at the Hilton. He is up for best actor for his role on the soap Cobras e Lagartos.

The New York Times T: Travel magazine takes on Bahia, spending eight days in the northeastern coast of Brazil and featuring tips on beaches, nightlife, and shopping.

A new gay club is set to open in São Paulo on November 30: Ultra Diesel. Marcelo Piccine, responsible for the project, talked to A Capa about his latest venture. Mr. Piccine has parties such as R:evolution and The Original Brazilian Pool Party under his belt, and promises an all-white club with a high tech led system, as well as a modelesque selection of bartenders.

X-Factor winner (and my new obsession) Leona Lewis broke the record for fastest selling debut album in the UK with Spirit. She also holds the title for best selling single of the year in the UK, with total sales of 490,000 of Bleeding Love.

If you missed the American Music Awards (I did), check out performances by Celine Dion, Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, and Sugarland and Beyoncé in a country rendition of her hit Irreplaceable. For a list of winners, click here.
