Not only is peanut butter very hard to find in Brazil, but it also costs R$17,90. And as you can tell by the picture, reduced fat is just out of the question.

As far as I know, Amendocrem isn't all that expensive... Or don't you like it? ._."

You should try Goober. It comes with jelly laready swirled into it. Peanut butter with marshmallow is an all-time summer favorite.

You know you can make your own really easy right? And it is actually healthier and better tasting since it wil lhave no added sugar, corn syrup or random oils to stabilize it! You can make it chunky or smooth all you need is Peanuts, an oven to roast them/warm them up and a food processor!

Expensive if you only shop at Santa Lucia.....try Pao de Acucar, they have Peter Pan for 9reais or so.

Well, as of today, your peanut butter would be the equiv. of Canadian $10.27, which is about twice the price of here in Vancouver, BC.
Premium Peanut Butter, that you have to constantly mix, runs for about your price in the gourmet shops around here.

Man! Can I RELATE! I don't keep it in the house anymore because I eat every last bit, even in my sleep! Maybe we can find a way to ship you a case every month from NYC--they've got some great organic peanut butter here, too. Skippy and Peter Pan are really good, though.

It's disgusting how they take advantage of people! Just like Nutella: a very small pot costs R$9. A friend of mine almost got a heart attack when she saw my mother buy 2 kilos of it here in Belgium. (It's really cheap here)

I like a product called Better N Peanut Butter Google it, maybe it's available in Brazil?. It is healthier than Peanut Butter and has an interesting flavor. As for me, I have both in my cupboard.

And that's BEFORE the taxes get piled on. I bought a bag of Ruffles and was charged a whopping 15% tax on it! Apparently, if the product is imported, additional taxes are levied, but I couldn't get confirm that. I was just going off my receipt.
