If anyone finds the medal ceremony please share it!!

A true Olympian! The medal ceremony shows what this really is all about. He was humble and overcome with emotion. I am glad he waved his teammates down to celebrate with him. Bravo!!!

I am so happy for him!

Has he ever been based in Brazil during his entire career? Doesn't he live & train in Florida?

he used to be based in brazil but i think he's in the university of auburn. during the broadcast he got a call in a cell phone, it was Lula. Maybe now he'll start spending more money in training the olympic hopefulls

PARABENS PARABENS PARABENS! What a great guy, a great Olympian, a great teammate, a great Brasiliero! To call his teammates up to join him on the podium - what a class act, que um coracao do oro ... congratulations also to those proud Brasilieras e Brasilieros of my adopted country of Brazil.

His cry was moving. Love this guy.

Happy for him and happy for the two french men who get the two others medals. I love Brasil.

i'm really happy for him!! especially cuz I used to swim with him.
he's from my city....the whole city is celebrating.

Felicidades! Viva Brasil! Viva Cesar! Un hombre con mucha clase. Dios le bendiga.

I am very disappointed with Brazil's performance in the olympics. I am not blaming the athletes themselves, but the country's lack of investment in athleticism. The chinese and american start competitive training at a very young age, the country needs to foster such intense training and competitive mentality as well for it to produce more gold hopefuls.

It was just too frustrating to see the women's beach volleyball and Hypolito's loss this week. For decades we have stood out in soccer and this still hasn't changed. It is just very discouraging countries 1/30 of the size with many more medals.

Also, Cielo trains in Auburn university in texas with an australian coach. He is a sophomore there and their emphasis on swiming boosted his swiming. I doubt he would find such combination of education and athletics in Brazil.

When I viewed Cielo's win and his reactions afterwards-- I felt quite proud of him as well as immensely elated in his victory for the country of which I love dearly, next to my own!
