A Sneak Peek At DOM #3
The third issue of DOM magazine hits newstands soon, and Made In Brazil has a first look of what's inside.

The issue features Brazilian actor Rodrigo Hilbert on the cover, and in a fall fashion spread shot by one of my favorite national photographers, Paschoal Rodriguez. It is great to see that some actors are not afraid of posing for a gay magazine.

Inside the magazine there is an interview with club owner Andre Almada, an article about two openly gay men in the Brazilian military, a guide to Montreal, and fashion and beauty spreads shot by the likes of Marcelo Bormac, Jorge Figueiredo, and Du Borsatto and Milla Puoli. There are a few more exclusive images from DOM #3 after the jump.

These pictures are great! DOM has been such a great surprise so far, considering it is not made by such huge names of the gay media, - unlike its counterpart Junior which is made by the Mix Brasil team. DOM has had by far the best editorials, the best photography, and the best focus in general for articles one would expect to find in any gay magazine around the world. Junior really needs to find itself still if it wants to be the best. It needs to decide if it will be the indie-modern type which is so common in SP or a mainstream gay publication; and if it will focus on hot bodies and upscale fashion or if it will be a more democratic publication - honestly I don't see any point in being the democratic type since we know that lower classes are not really such great consumers of magazines in Brazil. In comparison terms between DOM and Junior, we now know one of them is looking more like DNA and OUT while the other one is looking more like "A Capa" so far... Competition is so good :)

Ps: Junior has already improved a lot on the focus of its articles... It is mostly the photography which really needs to be revamped now.
