São Paulo Gay Pride Party Guide
The biggest Pride parade in the planet is right around the corner, and there are already several parties scheduled to keep the boys (and girls) entertained this year. The fact that there is a national holiday on June 7 certainly helps to turn the event into a second Carnival this year. Below is a list of the events already confirmed for next month:
Wednesday, June 6th:
Babylon at The Week with DJ Victor Calderone.
Thursday, June 7th:
Diva (for the girls) at The Week, starting at 4 pm.
As Meninas Pool Party (for the girls) with DJs Jeff Valle, Felipe Lira, Robson Mouse, and others, starting at noon.
Play Party at amusement park Playcenter.
Acqualand at Wet 'n Wild with DJ Scotty, starting at 10 am.
Magma Party with special guest Mr. Groove, and DJs Robix and João Neto at 1767 Hall.
X-Demente X-Especial SP at Pacha with DJ Chris Cox.
Friday, June 8th:
Queer As Folk Pool Party with DJ Tony Moran, starting at noon. Venue not yet confirmed.
Babylon at The Week with DJs Abel and Ralphi Rosario.
Saturday, June 9th:
Girasol Day Party with a selection of the top Brazilian DJs, as well as imported attractions Brett Henrichsen, Ronen Mizhari, and Eric Cullenberg, at Clube de Regatas Tietê.
Gay Day at amusement park Hopi Hari.
Babylon at The Week with DJs Peter Rauhofer and Isaac Escalante.
E.Joy meets R:Evolution with DJ James J. Sanchez at Moinho Santo Antônio.
The parade happens on Sunday, June 10th. I will make sure to update the list above as soon as other parties and DJs are confirmed. Tickets for parties listed at The Week are available at Ingresso Rapido.
To make it easier for the foreigners, the city of São Paulo launched a site called The LoveLand with information about the parade. Unfortunately it takes forever to upload and features a very annoying soundtrack.

Oy vey, that Loveland site...It's really bad. They couldn't find a gringo in SP to spend 10 minutes correcting the terrible English? And you're right - that soundtrack literally drove me away from the site...Any idea who designed it?
