Madonna, Shakira, Panic! At the Disco, Christina Aguilera, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are nominated for Video Of The Year at the 2006 VMA's, which takes place August 31. Shakira and the Red Hot Chili Peppers lead the nominations with 7 each for "Hips Don't Lie" and "Dani California."

Although I don't care much for Hedi Slimane's designs for Dior Homme, I have to say there is something about his pictures which I really like, so I am glad he has started to post them on his online diary this month. It would be cool if he would start adding some comments to the images as well. BTW, has his Dior contract been renewed?

The rain and the cold did not stop the second biggest Pride parade in the country yesterday, when approximately 500 thousand people gathered in Copacabana to celebrate into the night (800 thousand were expected). Pride in Rio without boys prancing around in swimsuits and a lot of sun was certainly a little disappointing for the tourists though. If you were there, feel free to email me pictures or leave comments.

Mix Brasil has several photo galleries of the parade (but unfortunately if you are a Mac user like me you will not be able to enlarge them). I also found a video of the parade carried by the official song of the day: a remix of Kelly Clarkson's "Because Of You," which became a huge hit as part of the soundtrack to the soap Belíssima.

After a late birthday celebration with Leonardo DiCaprio last week, this weekend La Bündchen was photographed playing at the beach with at the actor's mother and dogs in front of his Malibu home. I wouldn't trade Kelly Slater for Leo if I were her, but who knows? More pictures here.

No, this is not a gay bashing attack on the sands of Rio. Those are just actors Max Fercondini and Daniel Zubrinsky shooting a scene for the soap "Páginas da Vida." I like the concept.
