Ale Ambrósio And The Brazilian Girls At The VS Extravaganza

With Adriana Lima on maternity leave and Emanuela de Paula busy with other work commitments, Alessandra Ambrósio was the only official Brazilian angel on the runway at this week's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in New York. And in spite of the many casting lists  which were delivered to my mailbox this week with names like Flavia de Oliveira and Cintia Dicker, the final casting included only four girls from Brazil: Isabeli Fontana, Caroline Trentini, Ana Beatriz Barros, and former angel Izabel Goulart.  No surprises there, right?

The Top Contender For My Wall Space

I first became acquainted with artist Antonio Bokel back in June when he did an amazing installation at Pier Mauá for the opening night of Fashion Rio. However, I actually didn't know he was the artist responsible for the installation until a couple of months ago when a girlfriend of mine mentioned his name, and suggested I take a look at his work online. I immediately fell in love with it. There is something about it that reminds me of Banksy, and I like that most of his work is big enough to take up an entire wall, which is exactly what I need. And then there are also the pinks and blues, which as you can tell by the blog are a total selling point to me.

View more of Antonio Bokel's work on his website, and on his flickr.

A Sneak Peek At Last Night's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

The pictures of the show are already all over the web, but I will try to post some over the weekend or on Monday. I loved the way Caroline Trentini looked.

That's How You Develop A Military Fetish

I know I have been going on and on about the Erotica issue of ffw Mag!, but it is only because I think it is the best fashion magazine published in Brazil this year, and you guys should be able to have access to some of the editorials.

The military menswear story was inspired by Butt and Kaiserin, and it is sexy and a little camp at the same time. It is also photographer Gui Paganini's best work this year. View more scans after the jump.

The Winner Of The 2009 Gong Show

Here is the video that won the Gong Show at the 17th Annual MixBrasil Film Festival in São Paulo. Sorry that it is entirely in Portuguese, but I just had to post it. Warning: nsfw.
